Who we are
GetMyTaxCut (getmytaxcut.com) is a product of DigitX LLC. DigitX LLC, doing business as GetMyTaxCutis a property tax grievance representation service for residential properties in Nassau County, New York. When you authorize us, we act as your designated representative to prepare and file an assessment grievance (Form RP-524) with the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission (“ARC”) and, where appropriate, to prepare a Small Claims Assessment Review (“SCAR”) petition. We are not a law firm and we are not your attorney.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to evaluate and represent your grievance:
- Identity and contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, provided when you request an estimate or sign an authorization.
- Property information — the property address, parcel / Section-Block-Lot (SBL) identifier, tax class, assessed value, and annual tax figures, and your stated relationship to the property (for example, owner or authorized agent).
- Signature and consent records — your typed signature, a drawn signature image, each consent you check, the exact version of the terms displayed to you, and the date, time, IP address, and browser (user-agent) at the moment of signing. We keep these because your authorization is a legally binding electronic record.
- Advertising attribution— if you arrive from an ad, campaign identifiers (UTM parameters) are stored in your browser’s local storage and may be associated with your request so we know which advertising brought you to us.
- Website usage information — when analytics is enabled, we may measure page views, referring pages, device and browser information, completed applications, and site performance metrics. Our analytics provider may use browser identifiers to provide these reports.
- Case records — estimates, evidence packets, filing status, settlement offers, and communications generated while your matter is active.
Where the information comes from
- Directly from you, through our forms.
- Nassau County public records, including the Land Records Viewer and Department of Assessment data, which we retrieve — including through automated systems — to verify your parcel, assessment, and tax figures.
- Public records of comparable property sales in Nassau County, used as evidence in your grievance.
How we use your information
- To produce your instant assessment-reduction estimate.
- To prepare, assemble evidence for, and file your RP-524 grievance with Nassau County ARC, and to prepare a SCAR petition if appropriate.
- To communicate with you about your estimate and the status of your case.
- To send text messages about your matter — only if you gave separate SMS consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying STOP.
- To receive, account for, and remit any county refund per your authorization.
- To maintain the audit records required for legally binding electronic authorizations.
- To measure which advertising campaigns perform, using the attribution data above.
- To measure site performance and improve the application experience.
Automated processing
Your estimate is generated by an automated valuation comparison against county records and recent comparable sales. Filing preparation also uses automated systems that retrieve county data and assemble your grievance packet. Our experienced team reviews your case before any grievance is submitted to ARC, and no filing is submitted without your signed authorization.
How long we keep it
Signed authorizations, consent records, and case files are retained for as long as needed to represent you and to satisfy New York recordkeeping obligations for tax-grievance representatives, including defending the validity of your electronic signature. An authorization is valid for 120 days from signing; the record of it is kept after expiry as part of the case history. Estimate requests that never become signed matters are kept only as long as operationally useful.
Security
We maintain safeguards aligned with the New York SHIELD Act, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed credentials for administrative access, role-based access controls, and append-only audit logging of significant actions on your case. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your unsecured personal information, we will notify you as New York law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it.
- Deletion — you may request deletion; we may retain what the law or an active representation requires (for example, your signed authorization).
- SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any text.

Children
Our service is not directed to anyone under 18. You must be at least 18 to sign an authorization, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the version and date shown at the top of this page. The version in effect when you signed your authorization is recorded with your authorization.
